Grieg Seafoods Says New B.C. RAS Facility Going Swimmingly

Grieg Seafood BC provided an update on its recently completed Gold River Hatchery Expansion Project, known as RAS 34, after it received the first transfers of juvenile Atlantic salmon into the system.

Rocky Boschman, Managing Director for Grieg Seafood BC said the facility’s completion marked the culmination of years of planning, construction, trialing and now production in April 2022. Two months later, after transferring the first fry into the facility, the company reported that the RAS system is functioning “beautifully”, and the fish are performing well...
