Fisheries Council of Canada Advocates for Sufficient Funds for Indigenous Reconciliation
OTTAWA, ON: Speaking at a Pre-Budget Consultation meeting before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance on Thursday, February 2, Fisheries Council of Canada President Paul Lansbergen stressed the importance of sufficient financial support from the federal government to progress toward Indigenous reconciliation of fisheries.
“The federal government has committed to furthering Indigenous reconciliation, so financial resources must be allocated to make meaningful progress,” Lansbergen said.
